Information

From 1 July 2021, due to changes in EU tax laws, all goods ordered only from the European Union will be subject to VAT and import duties on arrival in your EU country. This depends on which country you reside in and is beyond our control. The transport company used will collect these charges on behalf of your local tax office.

Please contact in advance with any questions and consider the total cost before purchasing.  All other countries outside of Portugal, where we are located and from where we deliver, have their own import rules for online purchases, which you may already know.

 

Cleaning Instructions:

Please note that my fashion accessories are made of leather, vinyl, plastic, glass and many other materials. Some items can be washed in the washing machine, some can be exclusively wiped with a damp cloth. But don’t worry! Precise care instructions will always be enclosed with your order along with your purchase.

 

Material:

As the products are predominantly made of leather, plastic or vinyl, do not order if you are allergic to this material. As the material is not breathable, prolonged wear is not recommended. Please do not expose the material to excessive heat or cold. The other materials are used as described.

The silver rivets and buckles used are nickel plated. If you know you are allergic to nickel, please let us know. Gold or black studs do not contain nickel, a base other than studs can also be used for people with minor irritations.

 

Size:

Most accessories come with adjustable straps, allowing you to vary size and style options as indicated in the product description. Other size variations are possible. Please contact us before ordering. In the notes section when ordering, please provide as detailed measurements as possible, such as your t-shirt size, bra size, neck, chest, waist, hip circumferences.

 

Shipping:

All items are handmade to order in my workshop Portugal. I endeavour to fulfil all orders within 1-4 weeks of receiving your order.

You can contact me to find out how long your order will take before or after purchase, message me on WhatsApp or telegram.

The description of each item states how long it usually takes to make. If there are any delays, we will contact you with an estimated delivery date. As all items are delivered from Portugal on weekdays, please note that delivery times may vary from country to country. If you require expedited delivery, this is available at checkout. If the order is urgent, please contact me on WhatsApp to discuss this.

 

Gift:

The item can be gift wrapped free of charge upon your request. All collectible accessories are perfect to purchase as gifts.

Return/Refund Policy:

At Katy Zinger Shop, all items are handmade, often only made to order. These are custom fashion art objects created to the customers’ measurements. This is done to minimise waste and care for the environment. As such, we cannot refund orders in case you have simply changed your mind.

If an item arrives faulty, or unsuitable in size, we will of course replace it as soon as possible. As I personally pack the items I send out, this should not happen.  We will work closely with you before ordering to advise and recommend items that best suit your needs, body shape and desires.

Please do not throw away my work!

Return of items that you no longer need.

If for any reason you no longer need an item purchased from my shop, or if it is badly worn, please do not throw it away. This is very important to me and to the environment. Contact me to discuss returning the item. I will guarantee to pay you the cost of shipping the item back to my workshop for recycling. As a thank you for your conscious consumption and concern for the environment, I will give you a discount on any future purchase in my shop equivalent to 30% to 50% of the value of your returned item.

 

Rentals:

I offer a rental service for accessories or even complete looks.

I am well aware that it is not always convenient to purchase outfits, especially if they are needed for one evening. Outfits that a person would normally only wear once may have a longer life span if they can be rented for that special party or special occasion, photo shoots or promotional events. This is why we have made our archive exhibits available for hire.

The cost of hire is 20% of the retail price of the item + round trip delivery if required. Alternatively you can organise your own courier. I also ask for a deposit of 80% of the value of the item.

The rental period included in this price is up to 7 days. For international hire up to 2 weeks.

Email an image of the desired look found on my website or Instagram and we can advise on the size, fit and accessibility of the look as well as color options or alternatives. It would be helpful if you could provide measurements so that I can advise you properly. To enquire about payment options and a full rental agreement, message me on WhatsApp or Telegram

A late return fee applies if items are not returned within the 7 day rental period, or an additional charge of 50% of the retail value will apply if items are damaged beyond the acceptable level or not returned within 21 days.

A refundable full deposit may also be required to cover possible damage to the samples.

Please note: as rented parts are usually press samples, some visible damage may occur…. You will be advised on the quality of the parts on request.

Please note – we are unable to lend underwear for hygiene reasons, so if your chosen look requires suitable underwear, these must be purchased.
